About Top Gun K9 Training
Cherie Evans is the owner and operator of Top Gun K9 Training. She, with the help of family members maintains the kennel daily and is lead trainer. Her father, A.P. Bailey is the founder of Top Gun K9 Training. He has had over 40+ years of experience training dogs, 30 of those years were spent training and handling dogs for law enforcement. He is now retired from law enforcement, and assists his daughter when necessary.
Top Gun uses the behavior modification method to help cultivate the dogs natural instinct while eliminating behavior problems. We specialize in herding and sporting breeds. At this time we personally breed and train german shepherds and labrador retreivers. We offer private training sessions to the public for basic obedience and service work.

EXPERIENCES MAKES A DIFFERENCE
As a retired law enforcement officer and K-9 trainer/handler for 34 years I have learned a lot concerning life and the K-9 world. I have been blessed to experience and learn from some of the best trainers in the world when it comes to law enforcement K-9 and search and rescue. I was privileged to attend various schools over my career. The most important school, utilized the US Customs method of narcotic detection. This method uses behavior modification which focuses on channeling the dog’s natural, inborn, instinct to achieve the desired results. This training taught me to be a K-9 behaviorist. I have come to understand the importance of good breeding, and how blood lines make a significant difference in the life cycle of the dog and their potential owner/family. Our desire at Top Gun is to promote the best breeds and bloodlines to families and the law enforcement community.
WHY A PUPPY FROM TOP GUN K-9 TRAINING
Over the years, my experiences have taught me what character traits to look for in a particular breed. Whether it be for the law enforcement community or the faithful family companion, the goal should be the same. To select a K-9 companion with outstanding temperament, one that can be social, and is intelligent. In conducting training seminars over the years, one the most asked questions is, "Why does the Labrador Retriever, and the German Shepherd dog dominate the law enforcement community?" The answer simply is that their inherent drive [instincts], are to work and protect. They are quick to adapt, are superior in intelligence, and generally have little if any health issues. This providing we know the past history of the particular bloodlines selected.
Our goal is to breed the best and train with the best methods. The parent dogs at Top Gun come from years of research and experience. They produce all the qualities in their offspring that will make your families next K-9 companion and relationship one of the best ever. I have been blessed to pass my skills and knowledge to my children who will serve our clients well.
